We would like to create a space where people could relax and leave their daily routine behind. The idea of the project comes from Japan, where people travel to hot springs to achieve physical and mental relaxation.
In that inspiring chilled space we suggest to install hot bath for the feet, so all visitors can sit down and calm down after leaving their shoes at the entrance and washing their feet. Thanks to constant water circulation the baths are safe for health and the “onsen” temperature would make it extremely pleasant, especially in cold weather.
Our idea is to use natural plants on the ceiling, as we believe that engaging with plants and nature fantastically benefits mental health. The floor would be covered with dried natural grass to make you feel like you are walking into a field of a southern Eden, which is also reflected on the walls with shaded images and shapes of animals and jungle. The space is aimed at making you feel calmer, happier and more energised.
The dried grass and plants are to be sourced locally, and the wall painted by the artists of our collective. The citizens are welcome to co-create the space by bringing plants or joining the painting session.
