Concept An evolutionary design that incorporates a modular installation to create a multi-purpose space, bringing the community together with its installation and adaption. Design Proposition We will use 3D printing to create canopies that can be assembled in different ways depending on the needs of the space. It will form a community project where everyone works together to assemble the elements, just like a big jigsaw puzzle. The 3D canopies have the appearance of umbrellas on the wheels, which can be moved to adapt the space for events. When the space is not being used these canopies have the appearance on an art installation, which brings interest to the space.
Security-Safety
- We use porous 3d printed elements which are light, not heavy, and can let the air go through to avoid the installation falling. Also, the wheels (or movable base system) are made with a counterweight to ensure the stability of the installation. The canopies are self-supporting with the spider system wire. This installation will be aesthetic, resulting in a light pattern on the floors too.

What I like about the concept is the underlaying idea that a space in the city always belongs to everyone and not only to e.g. car-drivers.
Please explain a bit more how your installation will be at the same time safe/stable and still movable – you mention wheels that are not visible in your drawing.
Thank you for your interest in our design. In fact, we use porous 3d printed elements which are light, not heavy, and can let the air go through to avoid the installation falling. Also, the wheels (or movable base system) are made with a counterweight to ensure the stability of the installation. The canopies are self-supporting with the spider system (wires). This installation will be aesthetic, giving shadows and light patterns on the floors too.
