Julia and Jakub live in Luxembourg City and met through their professional work as architects at Archibureau Pawlowski. Their collaborative work comes from their combined passion for elegant and people-orientated design. Their submitted projects touch upon the idea of using colour as an integral part of creating architectural ambience and using it as a visual language for signing the division of space and its function. Colour can improve the human perception of a space.
Julia is an architect from Poland and finished summa cum laude from the Poznan University of Technology and received a scholarship to study at the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia and Politecnico di Bari. Here her thesis project was chosen as one of the tops in the country for the 2020 Award of Best Diploma Projects. She has also worked in Spain for Fernando Menis Studio. Due to her interest in graphic design, she collaborated on the 2021 Spanish Pavilion for the Venice Biennale. She has since worked in Luxembourg. Julia enjoys cooking and has a great passion for crosswords.
Jakub is also Polish but has grown up in Sweden and the UK. He studied at Queens University Belfast and the Royal Institue of Technology Stockholm. He has worked as a graphic designer and co-founder of GS Code Ltd. and has also a background in furniture design and teaching. Jakub has since worked in Luxembourg. Jakub enjoys travelling and reading about ethics and philosophy which always leads to some deep conversations…
We hope you enjoy our work and have as much fun and enjoyment out of our projects as we had designing them!
